  • You may decide on the Health screening package or tests on the day of screening after consulting our doctor and reviewing your health records and test requirement, as testing does not follow the adage “the more the merrier”. Health screening comes with risk of anxiety from false positive results and may even cause harm if more invasive tests are required following the initial false positive result. We also try to avoid duplicate tests if they are done recently at other institutions. 
  • Fasting is NOT a requirement for most tests in the health screening, except for Fasting Glucose for diabetes, which requires at least 6 hours of fasting. All our packages employ the non-fasting HbA1c test for diabetes if you do not wish to fast. If unsure, you may come fasted for at least 6 hours for the health screening. 
  • Do not omit essential chronic medications, take your regular medications with plain water. 
  • Love/Joy/Peace Packages (VM01/02/03) can be done home- based, you may refer to our Home-based Health Screening page for more details.
  • For Love/Joy/Peace Plus packages (VM04/05/06), ECG & Physical Examination is performed at our physical clinic only, while Chest XR/ Ultrasound/ Cardiac scan is performed at our partner Radiology branches.
  • Screening package can be personalized to best suit your needs after a complimentary pre-Health Screening consultation with our doctor. Post-Health Screening complimentary consultation with our doctor is also strongly advised.
  • All imaging tests are Medisave-claimable at our Radiology partner up to S$300 per year. Please inform us if you’d like to use Medisave. 
  • Recommend Cancer Screening by Ministry of Health (MOH) Health Promotion Board includes Mammogram, Pap smear/ HPV test, Stool Occult Blood, Ultrasound Liver (for Hepatitis B or C carriers). Routine use of tumour markers for cancer screening is not recommended.

The aim of health screening is to detect any early disease in a generally-well person, so as to commence early treatment and maintain good control of the disease,  that will ultimately reduce the risk of serious complications from the disease. It is therefore important to get yourself screened even if you feel perfectly healthy.Health screening is as simple as taking your BMI (Body Mass Index), home blood pressure reading to see if you are at risk of metabolic syndrome, for example, and it need not be cumbersome or complicated.Health screening can be categorized into functional (organ-specific) screening, cardiovascular screening and cancer screening. Your health screening needs depend on factors such as age, personal medical history, family history, as well as personal goals and preferences.  Although our health screening packages are designed to cover most aspects of health, deciding which test to undergo requires a shared and informed decision-making process, as not all tests are relevant for you. Health-screening testing doesn’t always follow “the more the merrier”.Therefore, we would highly recommend our complimentary pre-screening consultation with our doctors to discuss which screening tests are most appropriate.  Our Health Screening comes with a personalised health report, detailed recommendations and goal-setting, this will be covered during our post-screening consultation.Book an appointment online or simply call or Whatsapp us to find out more.
In general, only “Fasting Glucose” and “Lipid Screen” require fasting of at least 8 hours before the test – do not omit essential chronic medications – you may take with sips of plain water. Non-fasting Diabetes and Lipid Screen are also available if you prefer, speak with our doctor to find out more.If you are unwell, it’s best to postpone the health screening until you are better.
We do not recommend repeating tests if they were done recently. Share with us your latest medical report and allow us to reconcile your past tests and make recommendations.

Our health screening package starts from $85 nett (no GST) for our Love (VM01) package, which is a good package for a general health screen which can be done yearly. Add-on blood tests and/or imaging tests are available with prices stated (Refer to table above). All our pricing are transparent and will be made known to you before we process the fees. There is no additional doctor’s consultation fees for our health screening packages.

Health screening is essentially for the well patients to detect any early diseases so that interventions can be made to alter the course of the disease and reduce complications or morbidity from disease progression.

Screening is for the well patient without any symptoms and should be done periodically based on risk stratification. Diagnosis is when a patient presents with symptoms, and after undergoing physical examination, laboratory or other tests, imaging tests, the diagnosis or a few diagnoses may be made to explain the symptomatology of the patient.

Health screening can detect early disease so that interventions can be timely to retard or even reverse diseases. Apart from early detection of disease, health screening can encourage healthy lifestyles and increase healthy longevity and number of years in good health in the long run. Health screening can also detect inherited diseases among family members. Health screening usually encompasses a discussion on vaccinations as part of preventive health.

Health screening can pick up early cardiovascular diseases such as pre-diabetes, stage 1 hypertension or borderline hyperlipidemia so that pharmacological and lifestyle interventions can be made to reverse the course of the disease. Age and risk-appropriate cancer screening can help detect cancer in the early stages so as to improve outcome or increase the chances of curative treatment.

Diseases can be characterized into chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, obesity, gout and malignant disease such as solid organ or blood cancers. For cancers, age and risk appropriate screening tools such as mammogram, CT low dose lung screen, pap smear, certain blood or stool test, screening colonoscopy can help pick up early cancer. Mental health conditions can also be screened through the use of questionnaires and history taking.

STD Screening FAQs

Our doctor will first spend time to understand your needs and concerns, performing targeted physical examinations. A finger prick test for rapid HIV can screen for HIV as early as 2 weeks after exposure. In addition, blood tests and urine samples are usually collected, if necessary a urethral or a high-vaginal swab is conducted by our doctor.

There is no need for any preparations! No fasting is required for the blood, just book an appointment to see our doctor and any tests may be conducted on-the-spot.

All STDs can be detected through blood tests, urine tests and/or urethral/ vaginal swab tests. However, there is a ‘window period’ for HIV tests – our latest 4th generation HIV rapid test will be able to detect HIV as early as 2 weeks after exposure, and will pick up 99% of HIV infection at six weeks, as such a repeat test 6 weeks after exposure is highly recommended.

Yes our urine tests will be able to detect the following STDs: Chlamydia Trachomatis, Neisseria Gonorrhoeae, Mycoplasma Genitalium, Mycoplasma Hominis, Trichomonas Vaginalis, Ureaplasma Parvum, Ureaplasma Urealyticum.

STD tests generally have a high sensitivity and specificity (>90%), however no tests are perfect. Accuracy also depends on the timeline of exposure and symptomatology. As such our doctor will advise if repeat or interval testing is required for occasional instances.

All STDs are curable (meaning a complete eradication of the pathogen) with our modern arsenal of medications, except for HIV. However with major advancement in HIV drug therapy, HIV has become a chronic well manageable disease, and a treated person with HIV is expected to have similar life expectancy as someone without.

Most time will be spent during the consultation with our doctor, to deeply understand your medical needs and concerns and address any questions that you may have. The actual finger prick rapid test for HIV, blood draw, urethral and/or vaginal swabs will be swiftly and comfortably conducted with our experienced doctors.

Our STD blood tests detect HIV Antigen/ Antibody (rapid finger prick test), HIV (antibody – ‘traditional’ blood draw), Syphilis, Herpes Simplex Type 1 & 2 and Hepatitis B & C.
